Blank Page

blank page was all the rage
never meant to say anything
in bed I was half dead
tired of dreaming of rest

got dressed, drove the state line
looking for you at the five and dime
stop sign told me stay at home
told me you were not alone

blank page was all the rage
never meant to hurt anyone
in bed I was half dead
tired of dreaming of rest

you haven't changed, you're still the same
may you rise as you fall

you were easy, you are forgotten
you are the ways of my mistakes

I catch the rainfall through the leaking roof
that you had left behind
you remind me of that leak in my soul

the rain falls, my friends call
leaking rain on the phone

take a day, plant some trees
may they shade you from me
may your children play beneath

blank page was all the rage
never meant to say anything
in bed I was half dead
tired of dreaming of rest

got dressed, drove the state line
looking for you at the five and dime
but there I was picking pieces up
you are a ghost of my indecision
no more, little girl

Giants escape from a loss

Amazing game. The Bengals brought it all, and the Giants responded well. This team has a maturity that I haven't seen in... well forever. Eli Manning is stepping it up BIG TIME and is showing his skills finally after all these years. 3-0 heading into a Bye week... it's looking good so far for us Giants fans.

My dad came by to watch the game. It was a great time. For years I've been going to his house to watch the Giants play, and this was the first time he came to my house. Whats better than watching a ball game with your dad with grilled sausages and cheeseburgers? Maybe, but that's pretty win for me.

Heading to my new place of employment tomorrow for drug testing and a background check. The sooner I start the better; money is getting tiiight.

2nd round of games are starting up so I figure I'll shift my attention to that. Go G-MEN!

Back in the game

For the last 3 years, I've always missed playing rock shows. I just never had the time or money to make it happen.

I'm back.

Thanks to a generous friend of mine who is letting me use his drum set, I'm playing in a band called SlackJaw. Just another punk band, but to me, so much more. Drumming is pretty much the only thing I'm really good at, and also enjoy the most. Next to watching my Giants play every Sunday :)

We played our first shows the last couple days, and it was everything I'd hoped them to be. I missed people coming up to me saying that they really enjoyed what we just did. You don't get that instant gratification from a normal job.

We're going to be playing mostly in the Boston area because that's where the scene is apparently.

Fine with me.

I just want to play more.
